ANURADHAPURA EXCURSION (SRI LANKA)
Note: The weather in Anuradhapura is mild and warm. This is especially so in the month of May when the normal temperature is 29.0°C. The warmest month is March when the temperature rises to 33 C. its possible to visit all year round with ease. It depends on how much heat you can handle.

DAY 01

After breakfast :- transfer to Anuradhapura, the journey will take approximate 4 hours.
Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka: - Declared a world her- itage city by UNESCO, the sacred city of Anuradapu- ra is considered Sri Lanka’s first known kingdom and the Island’s capital for many centuries. Now in picturesque yet fascinating ruins – huge bell-shaped stupas built of small sun-dried bricks, temples, sculptures, palaces, age-old drinking-water reservoirs, wild life, art and architecture – this ancient sacred city is a draw for Buddhist pilgrims and visitors. Glorious monuments of its heyday survive to tell a story past…amid the stillness of cold stony silence, the austere umbrage of trees, and the tranquility of the sheltering sky. See the world’s oldest Bo tree – Sri MahaBodi – under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, the tallest Dagabas and remains depicting Buddhism
Attractions include:- Thuparama Dagoba, Samadhi Buddha, Isurumuniya Vihara, Jetavangramaya monastery, Ruwanwelisaya stupa, Sri Mohabodi Temple, Abhayagiri Vihara, Lowamahapaya, Royal botanical garden , Kuttam Pokuna and Mininatale
Overnight stay at Anuradhapura . (Meals – Breakfast)

DAY 02

After breakfast visits to remaining attractions of the region.
After lunch return to Colombo. (Meals – Breakfast)
