NAGARKOT - BHAKTAPUR EXCURSION (NEPAL)
DAY 01
After breakfast – transfer to Nagarkot for your
Bhaktapur excursion. The journey will take less
than 3 hours.
Nagarkot is a scenic hilltop village at a height of
2195 meters. It is known for its glorious sunset
views of the mountains, as the last sunrays strike
Everest and its neighbouring peaks creating an
orange-red glow amidst the white snow capped
mountains.
The Bhaktapur area is also known for the best
possible views of all the Himalayan ranges. The
name Bhaktapur means the “City of Devotees”. It is
an ancient city with palace courtyards in a pagoda
and shikhara-style, the reason why it is a listed
UNESCO World Heritage site. The medieval
buildings and shrines are known for its intricate
carvings of wood, stone and metal.
Also known as the city of festivals for its spirituality
and cultural heritage, Bhaktapur is one of the gems
of Nepal
Overnight stay at Nagarkot. (Meals – Breakfast,
Lunch & Dinner).
Note: The best time for the spectacular mountain views are
October - December and March - April, when the skies are
clear.
DAY 02
After breakfast – Take a stroll around and enjoy
memorable moments like the sun rise over Mt.
Everest from the Nagarkot view-point and views of
the valley.
Afternoon return to Kathmandu.
(Meals – Breakfast
& lunch).
